New Features of Version 25.3

SEMA CAD

  • It is now possible to prevent the creation of openings (e.g. drill holes) for the preview image during import. A drop-down menu has been added to the "Options" section of the import window for this purpose. It can be found under "Preview/Link". The drop-down menu can be found under "Create Openings". The options are "with full geometry" and "only volumes greater than". If the "with full geometry" setting is selected, everything works as before. If the "only volumes greater than" option is selected, the input field for ccm becomes active. A freely selectable number can be entered here. Now openings are only created if they are larger than the entered ccm value. The setting becomes active the next time the import window is opened.
  • It is now possible to create a stair belt from a polygon. To do this, first create a section. In this section, any polygon can be constructed using the CAD area. To create a belt from this, switch to the "Stairs" menu. Under the new "Belts" item, the "Free belts in section" option is now available. After selecting this function, you can specify the desired base date for the belt and then select the polygon. The belt is then created automatically. The balusters adapt to the shape of the belt. If the polygon - and thus also the belt - is longer than the adjacent post, the belt is automatically cut to size. A belt created in this way is not included in the staircase calculation. It remains in the exact shape in which it was created.
  • With BTL and BTLx export, kerf and pocket machining is now also integrated into the outer contour for production. To integrate machining into the outer contour, the option "Integrate machining into outer contour" must be selected in the machine settings for export.
  • When exporting to Cambium using BVX, right-angled sheet machining can now also be exported as eaves formwork machining. To export machining as "eaves formwork", the option "Convert right-angled sheets to eaves formwork" must be selected in the machine settings for export. An entry can be used to define the sheet length at which the editing is converted.
  • It is now possible to export PDF files from SEMA with layers. As part of this new feature, the PDF settings within ALT + F7 have been restructured. All relevant options can now be found under "Data Import/Export" in the new "PDF" tab. The new option for "PDF export with layers" is also located there. Once this is activated, all layers are included in the PDF file during export. This applies to both user-defined layers (e.g. in the CAD area) and automatically generated layers (e.g. in walls). With a suitable PDF viewer, the layers in the exported file can be flexibly shown or hidden.
  • In the master data for coverings, you can now specify in the second tab whether the component participates in the automatic nailing function or not.
  • For BTLx 2.3, it is now possible to specify a depth for the "ConnectorInfo", e.g. from a contour. For further information, see: www.design2machine.com
